The Bisley Brass Airgun Cleaning Loop is a simple barrel-cleaning attachment designed for use with airguns. It screws onto the end of a standard cleaning rod and is used to hold a piece of cleaning cloth or patch. Once attached, the patch is pulled through the barrel to remove light fouling such as lead residue, dust, and oil buildup that naturally accumulates during shooting.

The loop is made from brass because it is soft enough not to damage the steel inside the barrel while still being strong enough for repeated use. It is designed to work with common UK-style cleaning rods, making it compatible with many traditional airgun cleaning setups. The loop itself does not perform heavy scrubbing; instead, it is mainly used for swabbing and finishing the cleaning process after brushing.

In practice, this tool is used as part of a simple cleaning routine. A brush is often used first to loosen debris, and the brass loop with a patch is used afterwards to wipe the barrel clean and apply a light protective oil layer if needed. It is particularly useful for maintaining consistent barrel condition and helping prevent accuracy issues caused by buildup over time.

Because it has no moving parts, it is very durable and long-lasting if used correctly. However, it requires proper patch sizing and careful handling to avoid excessive resistance when pulling it through the barrel. It is not a standalone cleaning system but a small, essential accessory in regular airgun maintenance.

  • Brass loop attaches to a cleaning rod and holds cloth patches for barrel cleaning
  • Used for removing light fouling and applying oil after brushing the barrel
  • Simple, durable accessory designed for routine airgun maintenance rather than heavy cleaning
