Very good condition example of the Remington 1858 New Model Army. This pistol retains most of its blueing, but there is wear on the cylinder and the muzzle end. The brass trigger guard has cosmetic tarnishing. The grip bears the cartouche of 'DAS'. There are sub-inspector stamps of 'D' and 'H'. The top of the barrel is stamped 'Patented Sept. 14. 1858 E. Remington & Sons Ilon. New York. U.S New Model'. The mechanism works well and the hammer still has life in the spring. An excellent collectors piece for fans of American Civil War Era pistols, with an estimated production date of October 1864.
This is an antique firearm and can be purchased without a firearms certificate.
