A very tidy Lee Enfield No.4 Mk1 manufactured out of Royal Ordinance Factory, Maltby.

The butt socket is stamped: ROF 42 M23417
On the action is scribed: No4MKI F(FTR) 48 indicating it was Factory Through Repair at Royal Ordnance Factory Fazakerly in 1948.
The bolt is scribed: KC20915 and the bolt handle knob has the tip ground flat.
The magazine is stamped: 5323
Sling shows faint 'MEC 1944' with single Broad Arrow.
The fore end is fitted with a modern QD stud suggesting the rifle has been fired supported by a bipod.
The rifle has no cleaning kit in the stock cavity.
