Le Chameau's signature adjustable waterproof gusset has a tightening strap and snap-fastening buckle for a secure fit around the calf. Hand-crafted from natural rubber. Fast-drying neoprene lining cushions feet while keeping them warm. The combination of natural rubber and neoprene allow the boot to flex easily, mirroring any foot movement.

Lined with 3mm of neoprene, Le Chameau's best selling Vierzonord boot provides exceptional insulation against the cold and superior comfort when walking. Originally used to make diving suits, neoprene has excellent insulating properties and prevents the wearer's body heat from dissipating. Comfort rated to temperatures as low as -15°C.

Le Chameau's dual-density Cross sole absorbs shock and with a shank reinforcement board that delivers stability and arch support to help reduce fatigue. The abrasion-resistant outsole gives you shoe-like comfort while offering surefooted traction on uneven, slippery, muddy or soft terrain.

Hand-crafted since 1965, Vierzon is an iconic Le Chameau product famous in the field and country as the first rubber boot with an adjustable, waterproof gusset. The adjustable clip on Le Chameau's Vierzonord boot has been specially designed to pop off in order to protect the boot from being damaged should it get caught in any undergrowth. This design feature allows the clip to easily snap back into place.

"What makes them so good? The rubber is natural, which gets a big tick from me, and the 3mm neoprene lining keeps my feet and calves warm. They're comfortable, supportive, durable and sure-footed. I also like the look of the boot: sculpted without being fussy."

Size Guide:

Le Chameau boots are designed and made to fit you in your standard shoe size, with room for your trousers/jeans and a thick pair of socks already factored into the manufacturing process by thier Master Bootmaker. When selecting which size to order, a good general rule with Le Chameau boots is to go for the same size as your normal everyday shoe size.

Care Instructions

To ensure your Le Chameau rubber boots stay in good condition it's important that they are regularly cleaned with wather and allowed to dry naturally.

Occasionally you might notice a white powdery "Bloom" on the boots. This is perfectly normal and is insoluble particles that have risen to the surface, which is largely dure to the characteristic of a premium product made from high-grade rubber and will not compromise the durability or performance of the boots.

You should:

  • Clean your boots with nothing more than water and a brush.
  • Let the boots air dry.
  • Use a silicone spray and polish using a soft, dry cloth.
  • Keep your boots in a dry and ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and away from any heat source.
  • If the boots get wet, please dry the lining thoroughly before using them again. Crumpled newspaper will help.
  • If storing your boots for a long period, clean them thoroughly and store away from direct sunlight in a dry, cool place.

You shouldn't:

  • Never dry your boots in direct contact with a heat source like a radiator or a fireplace.
  • Do not use aggressive products, like detergents, to clean your boots.
  • Never store your boots in a damp condition or folded.

Zipped Wellingtons

  • Keep the zip clean. Dirt will wear the zip and significantly reduce its life.
  • The use of spray is recommended to lubricate the zip before the first use and after each use.
  • Don't leave the zip undone when wearing the boots, this will increase the chances of dirt getting into the zip.
  • You should never force the zip.

Warranty

All Le Chameau rubber boots are guaranteed for 2 years against manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, unsuitable use of the product, damage from foreign bodies or fluids, wear and tear, deterioration of colours and materials over time and after prolonged use. However, the zips used by Le Chameau are the best available and will not fail if kept clean and mildly lubricated.
