Fox Rage Predator 49‑Strand Coated Steel Wire is engineered for anglers targeting toothy freshwater predators such as pike and zander. Its 49‑strand construction means the wire is made from many fine steel strands twisted together, which gives it a good balance of strength and flexibility. This flexibility helps rigs sit naturally in the water, makes the wire easier to handle and tie to connectors or hooks, and reduces stiffness that can affect presentations.

The coating adds several important benefits: it protects the steel from corrosion and wear, helps reduce abrasion from underwater obstacles, and gives the wire a smoother surface that runs more easily through rod guides and rig components. Coating also helps protect knots and crimps from sharp edges and can make the trace less visible in the water compared with bare metal.

Traces made from this wire are typically used between the main line and final hooks or lure rigs to prevent bite‑offs from predator teeth. The coated finish helps ensure longer service life and reliability even after repeated use in tough conditions. Anglers choose coated 49‑strand wire when they want strong, reliable terminal traces that remain flexible and manage well during casting and fish play.

  • Super supple 49-strand coated wire
  • Kink resistant
  • Exceptional strength
  • Supplied with crimps
  • Available in two breaking strains: 10m 26lb/12kg and 10m 40lb/18kg
