The Bisley Trigger Guard Finger Protector is a small rubber accessory designed for use on shotguns, especially side-by-side and double-trigger models. It attaches directly to the rear of the trigger guard, sitting between the metal guard and the shooter’s middle or index finger. Its main purpose is to cushion the impact that occurs when the gun recoils, preventing the trigger guard from striking or rubbing against the finger during firing.

The design is very simple, usually made from thick, flexible rubber that absorbs and spreads the force of recoil. This helps reduce soreness, bruising, and discomfort that can build up during longer shooting sessions or when using heavier loads. It is particularly useful for shooters who experience repeated impact from the trigger guard due to hand position or gun fit.

Installation is straightforward, as it typically pushes or clips into place without requiring tools or modification to the firearm. Once fitted, it remains in position through friction and the shape of the trigger guard. Because it is made from soft material, it does not interfere with the function of the trigger itself and is designed to stay clear of the firing mechanism.

This accessory is not a performance-enhancing component, but rather a comfort aid. It is most commonly used in clay shooting or game shooting where multiple shots can lead to finger fatigue or bruising over time. While simple, it can make a noticeable difference in comfort for shooters who are sensitive to recoil impact on the trigger hand.

  • Rubber buffer fits onto trigger guard to reduce finger bruising from recoil
  • Simple push-fit design requires no tools or firearm modification
  • Mainly used for comfort during extended shotgun shooting sessions
