Sportsmatch Weaver High scope mounts are precision-engineered rings used to fix a riflescope onto a Weaver or Picatinny rail system. The “high” profile means the rings raise the scope further above the barrel compared to medium or low mounts, allowing clearance for larger objective lenses (commonly up to around 50–56mm depending on the model).
These mounts are typically made from CNC-machined aluminium or high-strength alloy, designed to be both lightweight and extremely rigid. The main purpose is to keep the scope firmly aligned under recoil so that the point of impact remains consistent. Many versions include a recoil stop pin or arrestor bolt that locks into the rail to prevent movement during firing.
The two-piece design is common, allowing each ring to be mounted separately along the rail. This gives flexibility in positioning the scope for correct eye relief, which is especially important for comfort and maintaining a full field of view. The clamping system is usually secured with hex or thumb screws, designed to maintain a strong grip without damaging the rail.
These mounts are widely used on hunting, target, and sporting rifles that have Weaver or Picatinny rails. The main advantage of the Sportsmatch system is reliability under recoil and consistent return-to-zero performance when properly fitted. If it is deemed necessary to return an item for exchange or refund, please note the following:
Goods returned must be in original packaging, with labels still attached.
Notification of intention to return must be provided within 14 days of receipt.
Goods must be delivered to us within 14 days of return notification.
Goods must have accompanying copy receipt for return.
Goods returned unwanted are subject to a minimum postage charge of £3.50 or the actual delivery costs incurred to us, whichever is the greater.
Returned goods must be in new condition, i.e. unused and unmarked with labels attached.
Costs incurred in returning items are your responsibility.
