The Bisley 300 Bar Air Cylinder is a high-pressure storage bottle designed for filling pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) air rifles. It stores compressed air at up to 300 bar pressure, allowing shooters to refill their rifles multiple times without needing a mains compressor or frequent trips to a filling station. This makes it a practical solution for field use, clubs, or home setups where reliable air supply is needed.

The cylinder is typically made from strong steel or composite materials engineered to safely contain very high pressures. It includes a valve system with a pressure gauge so the user can monitor remaining air levels. A fill hose or connector is used to transfer air from the cylinder into the rifle’s onboard reservoir, allowing controlled and safe refilling.

Because of the high pressure involved, the cylinder is built to strict safety standards and requires periodic testing to ensure continued safe use. It is usually supplied empty or partially filled depending on regulations and must be filled at a certified diving or air station. The 300 bar capacity offers a higher air volume compared to lower-pressure 232 bar systems, meaning more refills per cylinder fill.

In practical use, this type of cylinder is widely used by PCP air rifle shooters for target shooting, pest control, and field sports. It provides independence and convenience, especially in remote areas where access to compressors or filling points is limited. However, it must always be handled carefully due to the extreme pressure stored inside.

  • Stores compressed air at up to 300 bar for refilling PCP air rifles
  • Provides portable, reusable air supply with multiple rifle refills per fill
  • Built for high-pressure safety and requires professional filling and periodic testing
