Pampeano TD Polo Belt Cometa
Pampeano TD Polo Belt Cometa
The Cometa is an impressive addition to the Pampeano polo belt collection featuring striking colours of navy, grey and mustard yelllow. The yellow creates the perfect pop of colour against the adjacent bold navy and light grey threads which sit against the rich Havana brown leather.

This polo belt has been hand-crafted in South America by highly skilled, traditional artisans, who have been practicing this ancient technique of hand-stitching and leather work for generations. The leather itself is hand-selected locally from the finest pieces which have been naturally vegetable-tanned to produce the most exquisite results. After the natural dyes have nourished each layer of the leather, it is then tumbled in large drums to create the softest, buttery leather that is rich in colour and only improves with age as the leather warms with use.
The thick, wax-dipped thread was originally used on Pampeano’s polo equipment and saddlery before being vibrantly coloured to stitch onto belts that polo players would wear with their uniform to display their team or club colours. The waxed coating on the threads helps to glide it through the leather during the hand-stitching process whilst keeping the colour vibrant and protected. The smooth, waxed surface also makes the threads easy to clean with just a non-coloured sponge and soapy water. Everything down to the antique brass coloured buckle is hand-crafted in South America. The iconic tree and horizon logo are blindly embossed onto the tongue of the belt as a stamp of authenticity and assurance of exceptional, authentic craftsmanship.
The width of standard belts such as this one is 3.5cm.

Care Instructions
Like all luxury leather goods, this is a natural product so Pampeano have included some care instructions on how to maintain the lustre of your Pampeano polo belt.
Ensure you have selected the correct size. High-quality leather warms and softens as it is worn, slightly moulding to your shape. If your belt is much too small or is fastened too tightly, you could potentially stretch the leather which means that it will become slightly misshapen and not looking as new anyone.
Maintaining the leather
To maintain the richness of the leather, you should nourish it with a good leather conditioner every so often. Apply a small amount onto a dry cloth and rub into the leather. Use a separate cloth to buff it until all of the conditioner has been absorbed.
As with all leather goods, try and keep your polo belt dry. If it does get wet, just blot with a towel as soon as possible and let it air dry. Do not machine wash.
Maintaining the thread
The vibrant hand-stitched pampa patterns on their polo belts consist of high des=nsity waxed saddlery threads, meaning they are robust and easy to clean.
Just use soapy water and a non-coloured sponge to scrub the threads in the direction of the stitching (across the width of the belt and not the length). Use a damp cloth to remove any excess soap, and towel dry as soon as possible.
Snagged a thread? Because of the sport from which Pampeano's polo belts originated, they are made to be durable and hardwearing. In the unlikely event that a thread has come loose, simply tuck the end back under the threads next to it and fix in place using a little superglue. Make sure you tuck it in on the back of the belt and repair will be undetectable.
