Barbel (Barbus barbus)

The barbel is an iconic river species from the cyprinidae family. It prefers highly oxygenated waters with strong currents and sandy or pebbled bottoms. The species is native to Northern and Eastern Europe and has a characteristic elongated and aerodynamic body with a dark back and golden sides. It feeds on small organisms like gastropods, insects and small crustaceans. Barbel roe is poisonous to humans. It is an incredibly popular species amongst anglers due to its sheer strength and endurance.

If it is deemed necessary to return an item for exchange or refund, please note the following:
Goods returned must be in original packaging, with labels still attached.
Notification of intention to return must be provided within 14 days of receipt.
Goods must be delivered to us within 14 days of return notification.
Goods must have accompanying copy receipt for return.
Goods returned unwanted are subject to a minimum postage charge of £3.50 or the actual delivery costs incurred to us, whichever is the greater.
Returned goods must be in new condition, i.e. unused and unmarked with labels attached.
Costs incurred in returning items are your responsibility.
