Very good condition workhorse shotgun. Baikal's guns have always been hard wearing and this side by side is no exception. Overall in good condition, the blueing and the woodwork have only a few cosmetic marks that are to be expected of gun of this age and usage. The original butt pad has been replaced with a rubber Parker Hale pad to make it more comfortable to shoot and to bring the total length of pull to 14.75". Coupled with the beavertail forend and raised rib, this Baikal shoulders well and is very stable to shoot. Choked 1/2 and 1/2, this gun would be suitable for a wide variety of uses, particularly in the field. It can also be used with standard pressure steel cartridges.
There is a saying that every gun cabinet needs a Baikal and this side by side will make an excellent companion for anyone looking for a reliable second gun that can be used for years to come.
