The Blaser R8 Pro Success is one of the most popular straight pull rifles in the UK, due to Blaser's commitment to quality and reliability. The semi-weight barrel option offers an increase in stability when shooting, as well as better heat dispersion than a standard barrel. The barrel of this .300 Win Mag has been factory fluted and is threaded 17x1. The fluting aids with both the weight of the barrel and heat dispersion. This rifle comes with a Magnum calibre bolt head due to the calibre. .300 Win Mag is often used for long range hunting, or for larger game hunting comapred to other .30 calibres. The Pro Success thumbhole stock also helps with stability when shooting through the ergonomically designed thumbhole stock that reduces vexatious flinching when shooting. The stock has also been inlet for a 19mm diameter barrel over the standard 17mm barrel. The barrel can be changed easily in the field, allowing for travel with only one rifle. When changing calibre families, the bolt head will have to be changed through a simple procedure.
