Hand made in Britain near Manchester. This fantastic new range has combined tradition with fashion, it's "God Save the Queen"without the cheek. The range is hugely successful. The upsurge in high fashion woollen tweed is matched by the serious need for traditional sports clothing for women. What is more when they see where its made, they love it.
The idea behind the range is to bring a touch of punk rock to the traditional ladies' country wear
"But we don't sell fashion. No one can sell fashion because it's here today, gone tomorrow. People are waiting for the next thing, and in order to get this in the shops it has to be cheap, it has to be made abroad, in a sweat shop or worse, by a machine, and it has to be temporary. Our clothes are made by hands and people, and they last.
It's a clash of contrasting fabrics, trims and styles, tough tweed with soft satin linings delicate colour, country checks alongside brocade floral patterns, shades of pink in styles only ever seen in green.
The thing is we have tailored the clothing rather than just thrown a load of material at them. The customers always say that the garments fit them instead of falling them like a bag.
The company designs and manufactures British country clothing with British fabric, woven traditionally from British wool, by British craftsmen and women. The design, the manufacture, and everything else about the clothes, worn by Prince William's girlfriend Kate Middleton and Madonna, as well as sportsmen around the country, are scrupulously home grown.
